Fire Hopper

Cluster wins on a 7x7 grid

A 7x7 grid holds the board of Fire Hopper, a video slot with fire, flower and frog themes. A cluster win needs at least five matching symbols touching each other horizontally or vertically, so there are no paylines to line up. Winning symbols are removed, the board collapses, and new symbols drop in, which can start another win in the same spin.

Seven free spins begin when the Frog Symbol leaps onto a Bonus Firefly Symbol. The Frog Symbol and its multiplier stay in place through cascades for the whole round. In the base game the Frog leaps to any Firefly, Instant Prize or Bonus Firefly in view, leaving a Wild Gold Frog behind and adding 1 to its multiplier per leap.

Five stages

Before the first Fire Hopper spin

Read this before your first spin, when you want to know what each round does.

  1. A$0.10 or A$100 a spin

A$0.10 is the lowest bet and A$100 the highest allowed, so you set the stake before the first spin. Every win pays a multiple of the bet you choose.

  2. Fire Hopper cluster wins

5 or more adjacent symbols that touch horizontally or vertically form a cluster. Winning symbols are removed, new ones drop in, and one spin can land several wins.

  3. Watch the Frog leap

1 is added to the multiplier with each leap. The Frog Symbol jumps to any in-view Firefly, Instant Prize or Bonus Firefly and leaves a Wild Gold Frog behind.

  4. Frog reaches a Bonus Firefly

7 free spins start when the Frog Symbol leaps to and collects a Bonus Firefly Symbol. Wild Gold Frogs cascade off at each free spin, while the multiplier stays in place.

  5. Unknown session length

A$100 is the top bet, so set your budget before the first spin. No round shows how long a session will last or when the Free Games Feature will come.

Multiplier that grows

You will know how each round starts and how free spins get triggered before your first spin.

One Firefly, then 7 extra rounds

The Frog Symbol starts this feature when it leaps to and collects a Bonus Firefly Symbol. The award is a fixed 7 free spins. Both the Frog Symbol and its multiplier hold through cascades, and Wild Gold Frog symbols cascade off at the start of each free spin.

Skip the wait for the feature

Bonus Buy lets you buy straight into the Free Games Feature for 124x Base Bet, so the Frog Symbol does not need to collect a Bonus Firefly Symbol first. Return to player when bought is 96.38%, against 96.30% base RTP.

Count 5 linked symbols to win

The board is a fixed 7-column x 7-row grid. A cluster of 5 or more adjacent symbols joined horizontally or vertically wins. Winning symbols are removed and new ones drop in. The Frog Symbol leaps to any in-view Firefly, Instant Prize or Bonus Firefly symbol.

Which of the two versions is in play?

96.30% is the base RTP, and it describes the return over a very long run, not one session. How often the Free Games Feature comes is not known in advance, and this page does not estimate it. The result of one session is random, whatever the RTP.

96.30% and 96.38% are the two RTP versions of Fire Hopper. The rules of the game are the only place that shows which one is in use, so check there before the first spin. A higher RTP means more returned over a long run, but it does not change how any single round turns out.

x50,000 the bet is the highest win the game pays, and it is a ceiling reached very rarely. At the highest bet of A$100 that comes to A$5,000,000. At the example top bet of A$10 it comes to A$500,000. Reaching it is a matter of luck, and no spin plan changes that.

Two ways in

Practise first, then stake real cash

This section settles whether to start with the demo or go straight to a real account.

A$0.10 is the smallest real bet. The demo needs no money and pays nothing, while the real game needs an account and players aged 18+.

How does Fire Hopper's bonus start?

Fairgo Casino puts the numbers of each slot in plain view before you spin.

Fire Hopper bonus buy cost in Australia?

The Free Games Feature is the only purchase on offer, and it costs 124 times the bet. At A$10 that means A$1,240 for one buy into the feature. The bought round has a return to player of 96.38%, while normal play sits at 96.30%.

How volatile is Fire Hopper, high or low?

Fire Hopper has high volatility. That means results come in uneven runs, with long dry spells possible and bigger payouts when they land. The game's ceiling of x50,000 the bet shows how far the best result sits from a typical one.

How do Fire Hopper free spins get triggered?

The Frog Symbol starts the Free Games Feature when it leaps to a Bonus Firefly Symbol and collects it. The round then awards a fixed 7 free spins regardless of scatter count. Across the round, the Frog Symbol and its multiplier stay in place through cascades.

What is the maximum win on Fire Hopper?

The maximum win is x50,000 the bet. At the A$10 example bet that is A$500,000, and at the A$100 top bet it reaches A$5,000,000. Whether a session reaches that figure cannot be known in advance.

Keep your Fire Hopper spending in limits

Players must be 18+ to play Fire Hopper. Help is available from the National Gambling Helpline on 1800 858 858, and you can self-exclude through BetStop.

Fire Hopper budget first

Set the amount you can afford to lose before you open the game, and keep to it even after a good run.

Stopping point after any win

Decide your stopping point before the first spin, and keep to it even after a win. Big swings on a high volatility game make stopping harder.

Fire Hopper account limits

Use the deposit and loss limits in your account before you play. Raising them mid-session defeats the point of setting them.

Should I take a break?

Take a break or self-exclude once the game stops being fun. Chasing a loss with another spin is a clear sign to stop.
